THE MIND-BODY CONNECTION: BREATHWORK AND MINDFUL MEDITATION
This workshop is all about becoming more aware of our body in a mindful way. Eg. when we feel tightness in our chest, get sweaty palms, etc. our body is telling us something – we are getting anxious/stressed. This is the mind-body connection that we often take for granted. How can we listen to our body in a more mindful way? How can we become more mindful, ie. more aware, so that we are more receptive/connected to our body?

RELATIONSHIPS: WITH SELF AND WITH OTHERS
This workshop is all about relationships in our lives. Beginning with the most important one of all: relationship with self. Only when we have a healthy relationship with self, can we have a healthy relationship with somebody else. Once we know who we are, our strengths and weaknesses, our values - then we are able to share these with someone in relationship. When we are able to love and respect ourselves, then we can truly love and respect another.

MINDFULNESS: WHAT IT IS AND HOW IT JUST MIGHT CHANGE YOUR LIFE
This workshop is a great introduction to Mindfulness. We all have a natural capacity for Mindfulness. Mindfulness can lead us to that stillness that exists in each and everyone of us. Evidence-based approach that alleviates anxiety/stress and enhances well-being.

A HUMAN DOING VS. A HUMAN BEING
This workshop is an opportunity to use Mindfulness to help us find out more about ourselves and how we interact with others. In our frantic world we are often so busy being a “ human doing “ that we forget about allowing ourselves be a " human being ".

LOSSES IN OUR LIFE: THE GRIEVING PROCESS
Losses in life come in many forms: losing a loved one, divorce, addiction or missed opportunities. We get to share together about some of our own losses and how grief has impacted us in this workshop. Grief is the common denominator but we can experience it differently because we are all different. However, there are similarities that define the grieving process. We also talk about constructive/helpful ways to help us cope with grief.

ANGER: THE SCARY EMOTION
This workshop we talk about how anger can be seen as a scary/negative feeling, yet it is a normal human emotion. However, it is all about how we choose to express our anger – in a negative, destructive way or in a positive, healthy way.

SELF-ESTEEM: HOW WE FEEL ABOUT OURSELVES
This workshop is all about self-esteem. And how we can change the way we feel about ourselves. People who were raised in families with poor parenting or no parenting, often suffer from low self-esteem. Negative messaging eg. you will never amount to anything, etc. can play a role. The good news is that you can change the messaging. With Mindfulness and with self-compassion.

ADDICTIONS: MEDICATING THE PAIN
This workshop is all about addictions and how they distract us from the underlying pain, shame and despair. Alcohol and drugs serve only to numb the pain – temporarily. We look at trauma, often at the root cause of addiction. And we look at how the brain becomes hard-wired to maintain/promote addiction. There is hope – millions of people around the world who were once alcoholics or addicts have changed their behaviours and found sobriety. They have gone on to recovery – of their dignity, their self-respect and their true selves. They have recovered their life.

SHAME: THE HIDDEN EMOTION NOBODY WANTS TO TALK ABOUT
This workshop is all about a feeling or emotion that is often hidden/kept secret, sometimes even from ourselves. As C. G. Jung once said: “ Shame is a soul-eating emotion. “ A goal of this workshop is to help us be able to drag it out of the dark and into the daylight. With curiosity and compassion it can be done!

We live in HOPE
In this workshop, we talk about hopelessness and despair – the opposite of hope. And yet as human as these feeling are, there is always the possibility of hope. And with acceptance, comes hope. Hope for new goals, new relationships, a new life. We explore the different pathways to finding hope in ourselves and in our future.
